The fog moved up the mountain and burst from the trees almost as if dancing across the field at the top. Image taken at Vann's Valley near Cave Spring and Rome, Georgia.

Thank you so much, Melanie!!
Wow, what beautiful light and shadow effects! Thank you so much for your comments on my painting -- I'm so glad that you like it. By the way, my mom was originally from Georgia! She never completely lost her southern accent and during these wild Wyoming winters she now and then complained that she felt like she hadn't been completely warm since she left in 1941! This is a beautiful photo and reminds me of visits to my Aunt Annie Mae, who had a forest in back of her house. Excited to explore it, I tried to enter it, only to find that I needed a machete, so thick were the bushes, vines, trees, and all manner of growth alien to me!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment and for sharing the story of your mom and your own memories!!
